CEO: RDIF ready to test coronavirus vaccine in Philippines in Aug

MOSCOW, Aug 11 (PRIME) -- The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) is ready to test a coronavirus vaccine in the Philippines in August, CEO Kirill Dmitriev said late on Monday, commenting on an invitation by President Rodrigo Duterte.

"The Philippines are one of the most important countries partners of Russia in the coronavirus vaccine. The RDIF is ready for a clinical trial in Philippines already in August," Dmitriev said.

CNN Philippines reported earlier that the Philippines hope to get free vaccines from Russia, and Duterte would soon discuss the number of vaccines and the terms of clinical trials with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
